The East of England Development Agency has a vision to ‘improve the economy of the East of England’. To do this it works in partnership with many organisations, businesses and communities. It is a key player in shaping the look and feel of the East of England and is an organisation that all faith groups can benefit from knowing.
Whilst its main thrust is creating jobs and attracting investment into the Region, it has to do this in a way that protects and enhances the environment and improves the quality of life for people living and visiting the area.
EEDA has a wide-ranging portfolio, which includes providing grants, improving skills, promoting sustainable transport and raising the profile of the Region as a whole. We are a recipient of EEDA funding and without their support we would not be able to provide the wide range of services that we do.
EEDA is a valuable source of information for faith and community groups. They are at the heart of much of the decision making in the East of England and as such the East of England Faiths Council works very closely with them to influence and shape their strategies and plans.
